Holy Spirit, Rain Down

This seems to be a season of change.  It feels like everyone I know is dealing with some kind of change - new jobs, new homes, new babies, financial stress, illness, death of a loved one, etc.  I'm not worried or anxious about these changes; I know God is in control and I have peace.  But my heart is heavy for the people I love who are dealing with new and/or difficult situations.

This morning my daily Bible verse from K-LOVE radio was in my email.

This verse is the perfect compliment to a song we sang Sunday at church that has been playing in my head over and over.  This song is my prayer for my friends and I as we work this season of change.

Holy Spirit, rain down, rain down
Oh Comforter and Friend
How we need Your touch again
Holy Spirit, rain down, rain down
Let Your power fall
Let Your voice be heard
Come and change our hearts
As we stand on Your word
Holy Spirit, rain down

No eye has seen, no ear has heard
No mind can know what God has in store
So open up heaven, open it wide
Over Your church and over our lives

Holy Spirit, rain down, rain down
Oh Comforter and Friend
How we need Your touch again
Holy Spirit, rain down, rain down
Let Your power fall
Let Your voice be heard
Come and change our hearts
As we stand on Your word
Holy Spirit, rain down
